PEANUTS AND MONKEYS

I am bound to come down with a thump
The second the final bell rings
If working for peanuts and monkeys
Was the natural order of things

I thought I was biding my time
Till all the doors swung open for me
But maybe this whole piece of nothing
Is how it was all meant to be

Doesn’t sound much like a plan
Doesn’t seem worth all the fuss
Don’t think I’ll get out of bed today
Let someone take my seat on the bus
